Who wouldn’t have fallen for those Fendi bags? For ninety years now, the luxury brand has been the prominent choice from apparel to accessories.
Celebrating this accomplishment of ninety years in the sartorial world, Fendi has chosen its birthplace, Rome for the anniversary with a unique Haute Fourrure Fashion Show on July 7, 2016.
Together with Karl Lagerfeld, the German Fashion Designer who celebrated his fifty years of association with Fendi a year ago, and Silvia Venturini Fendi, the Italian Brand proposes new luxurious and modern fur designs and accessories celebrating the Maison’s revolutionary achievements, experimentation, and boundless research and innovation. It was Karl Lagerfeld who in 1965 coined ‘Fun Furs’, which Fendi would be bringing back at this special couture show. Before the July celebrations, Fendi has some dates saved for the celebratory launches in Japan.
The brand strengthens its long-lasting bond with its hometown, where in 1926 its first boutique was opened featuring a small fur atelier and leather goods workshop in Via del Plebiscito. It is still the only luxury Maison to host an in-house Fur atelier where Designer Karl Lagerfeld brings his love for Fur into tangible exquisite products through the expertise of highly skilled artisans.
The magical city of Rome expresses the roots and the core of the Fendi’s values and historic patronage while transmitting daring creativity and craftsmanship, giving a glimpse of the future trend setters.
